My Clinical Experience
In my early years I have worked as a general nurse in emergency department and surgical wards & began my nursing career over 12 years ago in private aged care.
I enjoy working with people who have a mental illness, every person experiences their mental illness differently.
It is a personal journey to recover and/or a journey of acceptance of a new normal.
Living with a mental Illness is a roller coaster ride of trying to manage everyday life. It is exhausting, painful, both physically and mentally. You are locked in a constant battle with your own thoughts, and it can feel very lonely sometimes.
I’m also a dedicated blogger and mental health advocate. Raised in country Victoria, I’m a divorced mother of four children, two of which are adults. I moved to Central Queensland four years ago and enjoy living on of the most beautiful places in the world.
